The paintings painted in the second half of the 20th century by Piotr Potworowski, Artur Nacht-Samborski and Stanisław Borysowski are a continuation of the assumptions of colourism, as well as those of the next generation, including Tadeusz Dominik and Rajmund Ziemski, who resolve the issues of colourism by combining it with abstract, lyrical landscapes in a form that is no longer subjective, pointing to a different trend in Polish painting. Metaphysical painting is represented in the exhibition by paintings by Zbigniew Makowski, Zdzisław Beksiński and Henryk Wańek.
