Architectural Accessibility
The Marshal's Office of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Toruń has 13 locations.- The main headquarters of the Marshal's Office of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship is located at Plac Teatralny 2 in Toruń, where the basic architectural and organizational barriers have been removed and adapted to serve people with special needs in the following areas:
- access to the building is provided by external stairs and a ramp,
- the main entrance is on the ground floor, without obstacles such as thresholds, with automatic, double-wing doors opened by a motion sensor,
- the Information and Submission Point located on the ground floor in the left corridor upon entering the building is equipped with a YourWay navigation marker (text transmitter), aiding the spatial orientation of visually impaired people, as well as an electronic magnifying glass,
- the building is adapted to serve people with disabilities on every level through a system of three elevators, and the staff of the Office assists individuals with disabilities; specialized trained staff is available if needed,
- the corridors inside the building are at least 1.20 meters wide,
- restrooms adapted for people with disabilities are located on the ground floor in the right corridor from the Information and Submission Point, as well as on the first and second floors in the same vertical axis,
- 2 parking spaces reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities are located in the internal parking area of the Office and are accessible via the barriers from Solidarności Avenue,
- a fire alarm system with visual warning signals has been installed in part of the building,
- the European Funds Information Point, located on the ground floor in the right corridor upon entering the building, is equipped with a YourWay navigation marker (text transmitter) aiding the spatial orientation of visually impaired people,
- the installed elevators are equipped with sound signals indicating door opening and closing, a control panel with markings for blind people, an audible announcement of the floor the elevator has stopped at, a display showing the floor number, and handrails on both sides of the cabin,
- internal stairs in part of the building are equipped with handrails on both sides, extended by 30 cm at the beginning and end of the stair flight, ensuring safe use,
- the steps of the internal stairs in part of the building are marked with contrasting colors (the beginning and end of the stair flight are highlighted with a contrasting strip),
- it is possible to enter the building and all of its rooms (excluding technical rooms) with an assistance dog or guide dog,
- to ensure that people with special needs can evacuate or be rescued in another way, the building is equipped with evacuation chairs,

- building access from ground level, inside there is a lift enabling wheelchair users to move between the floors containing customer service areas,

- no facilities for people with hearing or vision impairments,
- no facilities for caregivers with small children,
- to ensure that people with special needs can evacuate or be rescued in another way, the building is equipped with an evacuation chair;
- 12 Franciszkańska Street in Toruń:
- 6 public parking spaces reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities, located on the street, close to the building entrance,
- a tactile map in Braille and a video intercom have been installed in front of the building entrance,

Information about handling matters is provided at the Information and Submission Point, located on the ground floor in the main hall of the Marshal's Office of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship at Plac Teatralny 2 in Toruń, by phone at 56 62-18-600 or via email at punkt.informacyjny@kujawsko-pomorskie.pl. When handling matters at the Office, we provide sign language interpreter services or guide-interpreter assistance for our clients. The interpreter service is free of charge, in accordance with the provisions of the Act of August 27, 1997, on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled persons (Journal of Laws 2024, item 44, as amended).
