Architectural Accessibility

1. The main headquarters of the Marshal's Office of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship is located at Plac Teatralny 2 in Toruń, where the basic architectural and organizational barriers have been removed and adapted to serve people with special needs in the following areas:
   • access to the building is provided by external stairs and a ramp,
   • the main entrance is on the ground floor, without obstacles such as thresholds, with automatic, double-wing doors opened by a motion sensor,
   • the Information and Submission Point located on the ground floor in the left corridor upon entering the building is equipped with a YourWay navigation marker (text transmitter), aiding the spatial orientation of visually impaired people, as well as an electronic magnifying glass,
   • the building is adapted to serve people with disabilities on every level through a system of three elevators, and the staff of the Office assists individuals with disabilities; specialized trained staff is available if needed,
   • the corridors inside the building are at least 1.20 meters wide,
   • restrooms adapted for people with disabilities are located on the ground floor in the right corridor from the Information and Submission Point, as well as on the first and second floors in the same vertical axis,
   • 2 parking spaces reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities are located in the internal parking area of the Office and are accessible via the barriers from Solidarności Avenue,
   • a fire alarm system with visual warning signals has been installed in part of the building,
   • the European Funds Information Point, located on the ground floor in the right corridor upon entering the building, is equipped with a YourWay navigation marker (text transmitter) aiding the spatial orientation of visually impaired people,
   • the installed elevators are equipped with sound signals indicating door opening and closing, a control panel with markings for blind people, an audible announcement of the floor the elevator has stopped at, a display showing the floor number, and handrails on both sides of the cabin,
   • internal stairs in part of the building are equipped with handrails on both sides, extended by 30 cm at the beginning and end of the stair flight, ensuring safe use,
   • the steps of the internal stairs in part of the building are marked with contrasting colors (the beginning and end of the stair flight are highlighted with a contrasting strip),
   • it is possible to enter the building and all of its rooms (excluding technical rooms) with an assistance dog or guide dog,
   • to ensure that people with special needs can evacuate or be rescued in another way, the building is equipped with evacuation chairs,
2. Additional locations of the Marshal's Office of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship:
   1. 73 M. Skłodowskiej-Curie Street in Toruń:
      • 2 parking spaces reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities, located in front of the building entrance,
      • a restroom on the ground floor of the building is adapted for the needs of people with disabilities,
      • a fire alarm system with visual hazard signals has been installed in part of the building,
      • the absence of an elevator prevents individuals using wheelchairs from moving between floors that house customer service rooms; there is a possibility to arrange a meeting with the client on the ground floor,
      • the evacuation routes inside the building are marked with illuminated emergency exit signs,
      • the restroom for people with disabilities is equipped with a baby changing table,
      • to ensure that people with special needs can evacuate or be rescued in another way, the building is equipped with an evacuation chair;
   2. 13/15 Targowa Street in Toruń:
      • 1 parking space reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities,
      • access to the building is provided by stairs, with no ramp or other solution allowing free access for individuals using wheelchairs,
      • after crossing the entrance stairs, the elevator inside the building allows movement between floors that house customer service rooms,
      • a restroom on the ground floor of the building is adapted for the needs of people with disabilities,
      • the restroom for people with disabilities is equipped with a baby changing table,
      • there are no facilities for people with hearing or visual impairments,
      • to ensure that people with special needs can evacuate or be rescued in another way, the building is equipped with an evacuation chair;
   3. 167 Włocławska Street in Toruń:
      • parking spaces reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities,
      • customer service rooms located on the ground floor,
      • a restroom adapted for the needs of people with disabilities,
      • corridors inside the buildings are at least 1.20 m wide,
      • evacuation routes and directions inside the building are marked with illuminated emergency exit signs,
      • a fire alarm system with visual hazard signals has been installed in the building,
      • there are no facilities for caregivers with small children;
   4. 1/3 Św. Jana Street in Toruń:
      • the building is architecturally inaccessible to people with disabilities; however, there is a possibility of arranging a meeting with the client in another location,
      • no facilities for caregivers with small children,
      • to ensure that people with special needs can evacuate or be rescued in another way, the building is equipped with an evacuation chair;
   5. 15 Wały Generała Władysława Sikorskiego in Toruń:
      • the building is architecturally inaccessible to people with disabilities; however, there is a possibility of arranging a meeting with the client in another location,
      • no facilities for caregivers with small children,
      • to ensure that people with special needs can evacuate or be rescued in another way, the building is equipped with an evacuation chair;
   6. 14 Kopernika Street in Toruń:
      • 2 public parking spaces reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities, located on the street, close to the building entrance,
      • access to the building is provided by external stairs,
      • no ramp or other solution allowing free access for wheelchair users,
      • after crossing the entrance stairs, the building has a lift that enables movement between the different floors containing customer service areas,
      • the installed lift is equipped with sound signals for door opening and closing, a control panel with markings for blind people, a voice announcement of the floor where the lift stops, and a display showing the current floor,
      • no restroom adapted for people with disabilities,
      • no facilities for caregivers with small children,
      • to ensure that people with special needs can evacuate or be rescued in another way, the building is equipped with an evacuation chair,
      • it is possible to arrange a meeting with the client in another location;
   7. 52 Szosa Bydgoska in Toruń:
      • 2 parking spaces reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities,
      • customer service rooms are located on the first floor,
      • building access from ground level, inside there is a lift enabling wheelchair users to move between the floors containing customer service areas,
      • no restroom adapted for people with disabilities,
      • no facilities for people with hearing or vision impairments,
      • no facilities for caregivers with small children,
      • to ensure that people with special needs can evacuate or be rescued in another way, the building is equipped with an evacuation chair;
   8. 12 Franciszkańska Street in Toruń:
      • 6 public parking spaces reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities, located on the street, close to the building entrance,
      • a tactile map in Braille and a video intercom have been installed in front of the building entrance,
      • access to the building is provided by external stairs, equipped with portable ramps operated by a staff member,
      • customer service rooms are located on the ground floor,
      • emergency evacuation routes inside the building are marked with illuminated signs,
      • a fire alarm system with visual danger signals is installed in the building,
      • on the ground floor, there is a restroom adapted for people with disabilities,
      • the restroom for people with disabilities includes a baby changing station,
      • there is a cloakroom for customers on the ground floor,
      • the corridors inside the building are at least 1.20 m wide,
      • the internal stairs are equipped with handrails on both sides, extended by 30 cm at the beginning and end for safe use,
      • rooms inside the building are marked with descriptions in Braille,
   9. 2 Bechiego Street in Włocławek:
      • access to the building is provided by external stairs and a ramp,
      • 1 parking space reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities,
      • customer service rooms are located on the ground floor,
      • a restroom adapted for people with disabilities,
      • the corridors inside the building are at least 1.20 m wide,
      • emergency evacuation routes inside the building are marked with illuminated signs,
      • the building includes facilities for caregivers with small children:
        • next to the European Funds Information Point, there is a children's corner,
        • there is a children's playground in front of the building,
      • to ensure that people with special needs can evacuate or be rescued in another way, the building is equipped with an evacuation chair;
   10. 4 Waryńskiego Street in Grudziądz:
       • access to the building is provided by external stairs, a ramp, and an elevator starting from the underground garage,
       • 2 parking spaces reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities,
       • the external and internal stairs are equipped with handrails on both sides, extended by 30 cm at the beginning and end to ensure safe use,
       • the elevator installed in the building is equipped with a control panel with markings for the visually impaired and a display showing the floor number,
       • customer service rooms are located on the ground floor,
       • a restroom adapted for people with disabilities,
       • the corridors inside the building are at least 1.20 m wide,
       • a fire alarm system with visual danger signals is installed in the building,
       • the building includes facilities for caregivers with small children—a baby changing station located in the restroom for people with disabilities,
       • emergency evacuation routes inside the building are marked with illuminated signs,
       • to ensure that people with special needs can evacuate or be rescued in another way, the building is equipped with an evacuation chair;
   11. 9 Jagiellońska Street in Bydgoszcz:
       • access to the building is provided by stairs, with no ramp or other solution allowing easy access for people in wheelchairs,
       • 1 parking space reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities,
       • customer service rooms are located on the ground floor,
       • no restroom adapted for people with disabilities,
       • the corridors inside the building are at least 1.20 m wide,
       • emergency evacuation routes inside the building are marked with illuminated signs,
       • to ensure that people with special needs can evacuate or be rescued in another way, the building is equipped with an evacuation chair;
   12. 2 Gimnazjalna Street in Bydgoszcz:
       • access to the building is provided by external stairs and a stairlift located on the garden side, operated by a staff member,
       • 1 public parking space reserved for vehicles used by people with disabilities, located on the street near the building entrance,
       • customer service rooms of the European Funds Information Point are located on the first floor,
       • the elevator in the building is equipped with a control panel with markings for the visually impaired and a display showing the floor number,
       • a restroom adapted for people with disabilities is located on the second floor,
       • the corridors inside the building are at least 1.20 m wide,
       • in the European Funds Information Point, there is a cloakroom for clients and a children’s corner.

1. Main headquarters of the Marshal's Office of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, Plac Teatralny 2 in Toruń:

     • The European Funds Information Point located on the ground floor in the right corridor after entering the building.
