A model of an 18th-century wooden Vistula boat, made by a model maker from Solec, Mr. Jerzy Niedźwiec. "Szkuta" was a flat-bottomed, deckless ship equipped with a sail, which until the 19th century was used to transport, among others, grain on the Vistula. It had a load capacity of up to 100 tons. The structure of the boat consisted of oak and pine frames and side coverings of oak or pine wood. The bow of the ship had a crossbar that curved upwards. A mast was mounted in the middle. At the stern was the skipper's cottage. The crew consisted of 16–20 rafters.
