The artefacts on display bear witness to the exceptional importance of Toruń as a centre of great trade and craftsmanship from the period of its foundation until the 18th century. The objects have been divided according to their membership of specific guilds: butchers, bakers, millers, blacksmiths, locksmiths, pewterers, boilermakers, gunsmiths, watchmakers, woodcarvers, carpenters, and the guilds of painters, sculptors and goldsmiths.
