In the second display case there are five Polish sabres model 1917. It was the first Polish sabre from the period of the struggle for independence, i.e. made by Polish producers, for Polish soldiers and according to Polish regulations, it was created in 1917 for the so-called Polish Armed Forces - existing until November 1918. Probably it was also given to the units of the Legions, hence it was called "legionary". A typical example of this pattern had a handle covered with black leather with transverse notches filled with double-woven brass wire. A cross-bail brass crossguard with a mustache from the dorsal side passed into a short arm ending with a tear directed towards the blade, and from the incisive side into an oval bail, from which two side rounds depart. On the hood with braid was always embossed Polish eagle in the crown on the shield of the amazons. In the display case - sabre of a cavalry non-commissioned officer, cavalry officer, commemorative and infantry. On the fourth – commemorative – on the blade there is an eagle in a crown and an inscription: For Faith and Homeland".
