The exhibition hall on the ground floor consists of three rooms. In the middle of the main hall there are two life-size sculptures depicting uhlans (lancers) on horseback at a gallop, in full combat gear. It is worth remembering that horses were bought to directly from breeders, without the intermediation of traders. They were horses of the riding type with excellent movement, without any defects, only geldings and mares of the Wielkopolska breed with a gentle character, intelligent, most often chestnut and bay colours, although there were also grey ones.
In this room we present a beautiful collection of hand weapons collected by Aleksander Wyrwiński and donated by his wife Anna. On the left side there is a descriptive board and three display cases with hand weapons. Sabers are also presented in two more showcases on the right side of the entrance. The saber was the personal weapon of soldiers of all ranks of cavalry. It was pulled to the saddle, like a hussar concert used to be. In cavalry, it was used for combat, it was also used as a means of communication, when commanders gave commands to troops in a mounted formation. Officers gave military honors with a sabre, and above all it was a symbol of officers' dignity.
