The main theme of this original exhibition is the sound produced by traditional and unusual musical 'instruments', such as the tubular bell and... the human heart. Here we can listen to the sounds, but we can also create, modify and even taste them with our energy and imagination. The exhibition is equipped with multimedia elements so that even the youngest visitors can use the stations.
One of the exhibits is the Boom Boom Organ . The stand consists of several types of protective pipes. The pipes vary in length and color. Each pipe is responsible for a different sound, and thanks to special notes next to them, which indicate the order in which they should be blown, visitors can play several Polish standard music pieces such as "Wlazł kotek na płotek", "Była sobie żabka mała" or "Panie Janie" and many others. The exhibition also includes exhibits such as Klejnuty and Bite the Note. The former is a stand consisting of two DJ mixers with headphones. Visitors can find out what functions are hidden behind the names Reloop, Scratch, Trax or Pitch Bend.
Bite the Note is an exhibit consisting of three identical stands. On the tables are metal rods that vibrate under the influence of a loudspeaker with a membrane placed under the table. The visitor's task is to place a straw on the metal rod and then to gently pinch it with their teeth while covering their ears with their fingers. The phenomenon observed in this exhibit is bone conduction. This proves that sound is not only transmitted through air, but also through solid bodies such as human bones.
As regards sound, there is an exhibit in this room called On the Wave . It is a construction consisting of two types of bells, one vertical and one horizontal, and different types of sticks. We can see that the sound travels differently depending on the material and the size of the bell. Visitors can hear the difference with their own ears and feel the vibrations in their own body.
You can also see the Heartbeat exhibit in the exhibition. This is a drum with a handle that holds a pulse oximeter connected to a computer by electronics. When you place your hand on the handle, you close an electrical circuit that converts the contractions of your heart into beats on the drum. This allows you to see the rhythm of your heartbeat. Moving on, you can see the Echo exhibit. It consists of several microphones and headphones. Between the microphone and the headphones is an electronic circuit that modulates your voice. Each microphone is responsible for a different modulation of your voice, so you can have a great time.
The last exhibit in the exhibition is the Shout Yourself Out stand. This is a specially built structure with a microphone inside that you have to shout into. There is a decibel meter inside, which allows you to check how loud the scream was... You can see if you are as loud as a plane taking off ....
