The chronological framework of the exhibition covers the period from the 11th millennium BC to the 4th century. In this way, we can trace the technological changes and the evolution of human thought, which aimed to master the environment and improve the quality of life of prehistoric societies. In the opening section of the exhibition, there is a dugout boat from the 3rd millennium BC. It is the oldest preserved dugout canoe in Poland and one of the oldest in Europe. In the central part of the exhibition one's attention is drawn to a reconstruction of a fragment of a cemetery from the Biskupin" period (Bronze Age) discovered near today's Antoni Jurasz Hospital. The exhibition contains many accents related to spiritual culture and funeral rites.
