The 1911 bronze emperor's plaque, a gift from the German emperor Wilhelm II, occupied a central place in the memorial hall of Bydgoszcz's Bismarck Tower (a symbol of German rule over the city). It was the only surviving piece of equipment from the monument, which was demolished in 1928. The plaque, in an architectural frame under the imperial crown, bears the inscription: Dem grossen Kanzler Kaiser Wilhelm II. 1912. (To the Grand Chancellor Kaiser Wilhelm II. 1912.). The three-bar crown finial, with the cross, has not survived to the present day.
