Centrum Kultury Browar B. [Browar B. Cultural Centre] is a public cultural institution founded by the local government of the town of Włocławek. It was established on 1 September 2013 following a merger of two local cultural institutions: Włocławski Ośrodek Edukacji i Promocji Kultury [The Włocławek Centre for Education and the Promotion of Culture], formerly: Wojewódzki Dom Kultury [The Voivodeship House of Culture] and Włocławskie Centrum Kultury [The Włocławek Cultural Centre]. Browar B. Cultural Centre sets up foundations for experiencing arts and culture, fosters artistic development, promotes talents engaged in amateur artistic endeavours, and initiates and runs culture-creating projects that reach beyond the local level.
Browar B. Cultural Centre is housed in the building of what used to be the Bojańczyks’ Brewery. Throughout the 100 years of its existence, the beer manufacturing plant, founded by Kazimierz Bojańczyk around 1840, set the trends and pace for the development of beer brewing in the region. The Bojańczyks’ Brewery once shaped the industrial landscape of Włocławek and also had a significant community impact. Today, the buildings of the former Brewery resonate with culture.
