On the second floor, you can admire the galleries built in the second half of the 16th century. At that time, the layout of the building was changed. The galleries are arranged in a U-shape. They facilitate communication on the second floor and are connected to the spiral staircase. The space was lit from above by roof windows on the south and north sides. Light from these falls inwards through gaps in the ceiling, protected by barriers in the form of wooden trusses. The size of this tract, but especially the way it was lit from above, makes it unique among townhouses in Toruń.
