Far Eastern weapons, armaments and metalwork are displayed alongside. Indonesian militaria includes beautiful 'flaming' mainly Malay daggers - krises, a Malay spearhead and a Javanese sword of the golok type. Chinese weapons, rare in Polish collections, are represented by a pair of Dadao battle cleavers. However, the most valuable weapons are those from Japan, the land of the samurai. They include the Naginata spear, Wakizashi swords and an example of a firearm adopted by Europeans in the 16th century - the Japanese musket. Magnificent examples of Japanese decorative arts include tsuba - sword hilts - and kozuki - dagger handles.
