The Low Gauge Railway Museum in Venice is a unique place - both for lovers of the history of technology, tourists visiting the most attractive corners of Poland, and for the youngest who have never hidden their passion for railways, especially steam locomotives.
The Venetian museum is one of the largest open- air museums of the 600 mm narrow- gauge railway in europe. We have collected several dozen extraordinary exhibits here- including 17 historic steam locomotives ( the oldest dates back to 1899, the next few from the period of World War I ), wagons for various purposes: freight, passenger, hand and motor handcars. The exhibition is complemented by the necessary railway infrastructure: a historic waiting room, a guard's booth with a barrier, tracks with turnouts, switches, a water crane used to replemish the water level in the locomotive boilers, a turntable enabling changing direction.
